University Run Halls

This includes: Chantry, David Moxon, Deanery, Hamwic, Kimber and Lucia Foster 

The University will not be collecting the final halls payment due on 30th of April.


This includes: Liberty Point and Liberty Quay

Have now confirmed that if you do not plan to continue staying in your Liberty Living home for your third university term (so from after Easter), then provided you let them know by Friday 10th April by emailing, unless you have already done so, they will treat this as a return of your room (in effect a surrender of your tenancy agreement) and you will not have to pay your outstanding rental payment.

They have confirmed to us that they will be operating a non-eviction policy and have implemented a policy that will allow students to extend their tenancy agreement with us as long as they wish, should they not be able to travel home.

CRM have told us that they do not own the buildings that they operate, so are having to take instruction from those that do. However, the CRM Management Team are in discussion with every landlord with whom they have a site under management on a daily basis. They hope to update all of their residents over the coming days with any news.

Student Roost

This includes: Vincent Place

They have made an exception to their normal cancellation policy to credit you the rent payment from 1 May onwards if you choose to move out of your Student Roost accommodation.

If you have already moved out of your room, or plan to move out over the next month, they will not charge you any rent from 1 May 2020 onwards. Though you will need to complete the request form here by the 13th of April.

Student funding advice
The student funding team are available via email for any funding related enquiries from UK, EU and International students.

Support grant applications will continue to be assessed on a case by case basis, for example loss of employment, unable to return home. Students will be notified directly via their university email.
