ALL ABOUT YOU

Change is equal to collective effort, determination, cooperation, and action in force. A second, a minute, an hour, a day, weeks and months are enough to see substantial change if there is/are any. You are my priority, together we will make the desire change. With my years of experience in public office as an advocate of peace, you are certainly on the right track to making Solent University a place where everyone will be carried along regardless of race, background, gender, physical look or ability.

SUPPORTING STUDENTS WELLBEING:

  • Committed to eliminating discrimination of any kind especially those faced by students who become pregnant during their studies and those with children.
  • I understand that students might find themselves at the other side with legal needs that could be expensive and time consuming. As the next HEAD OF STUDENT WELLBEING, I will Lobby for functional free legal advice to students.
  • I will Lobby with the university to create student mentorship programme to help students succeed.

HEALTH

I will lobby with the university for consent from students that have been given long authorised leave of absence either health-related or on pregnancy ground. SU will contact them to find out how they are doing; furthermore, encourage and support them in recovering towards their academic pursue.

ENSURING CONDUCIVE ACCOMMODATION

The number of students in private rented accommodation is increasing and some are faced with bad conditions. I will work with local authority to raise student concerns, to ensure suitable accommodation.

STUDENT’S SOCIETIES:

Student societies brings great experience and as such should be equipped to contribute positively to the growth of student’s community. If elected as the HEAD OF STUDENT WELLBEING, I will work with all student’ societies to introduce EVENT that features all student societies. This will:

  • Strengthen bond,
  • Bring development,
  • Promote sense of belonging

APPRECIATE AND NOT DEPRECIATE

Hard work should be appreciated and should not depreciate; especially in academic environment. I will lobby with the university to change late assignment submission 40 percent capping policy to a different measure that will appreciate student’s effort.
