united through difference, together in action.
As a queer-identified person, I have always done what I can for the LGBT+ community.
this has been through affirmative action done within local communities, such as my work as a Youth Worker and volunteer with the LGBT+ youth groups, Y services; through to my published articles within the world-wide selling newspaper, The Socialist, leading on to creative petitions and social demonstrations such as protesting.
It is a cause close to my heart as it affects those close to me and myself, and by actions, it is my matter to represent all in the realm of diversity to unite in equity; through paring with other societies within the union, such, it will be my action that there will be more racial inclusivity and motion taken into account for the university as a whole.
As my slogan suggests that in this union, we are united through our differences, so we must work together to achieve our goals; this can be done by having regular meetings (during COVID-19) through zoom or Microsoft teams to flare up the concerns and suggestions that newer and current students have. Additionally, this leads to us working with a deep level of cohesion together in action.
