Zia Ullah

No compromise on quality education!

Profile:  Hello everyone! My name is Zia and I am the first CARA PhD Fellow in Communications, Media and Cultural Studies at Solent. I am also working as a student ambassador, team leader and student member of Solent university's standing panel for the development and approval of new courses and modules. I have the honor of working as a journalist, blogger, vlogger, media teacher, trainer, researcher,  course designer, news editor, radio presenter, debater, poet, writer, author, president of university's literary club, human rights activist, cultural ambassador and project coordinator of a cultural exchange program.

Manifesto: Solent is indeed a great university but there is always room for further improvement. We all understand the profound effect of quality education on the lives of our young people. Its not education, rather the quality of education that matters and in order to achieve quality and academic excellence, we need the commitment, participation and engagement of students in the process of policy making. If I get your trust and endorsement, I will try my best to represent you in the best possible way and with the best of my abilities, enthusiasm, honesty and passion. The three main objectives of my manifesto are:

1. Enhancing student engagement in all levels of policy making

2. Improving student feedback mechanisms  and

3. Implementing all great ideas collected from students!
