I want to put myself forward for the role as I believe with my past experience I can use skills I’ve picked up on the way to really excell in this type of job. I’ve seen many students who need help and want help but don’t know where to find it or are too shy and embarrassed to ask for it. This is what I’d like to change as I feel that although for the majority, university is a fun place where all students want to be there are still lots of students who are struggling to settle in and I would love to help set up a support system for students like these who can excell and be happy with a little bit of help and advice from people who are experienced in these kinds of situations.
