Mohammad Galib is our Union President - Student Voice for 2025/26. He represents the collective student voice of Southampton Solent Students.

Hello everyone,
Welcome to Solent or welcome back! Whether you’re just starting your university journey or heading into your final year, I’m truly excited to be part of your experience as your Student Union President (Student Voice) for 2025/26.
My name is Mohammad Asraful Galib, and I’m currently studying BSc in Computing, originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I ran for this role with a simple but powerful goal: to make sure every student's voice is heard, supported, and empowered to thrive.
This year, I’m especially looking forward to launching an alumni mentorship program to connect students with job and internship opportunities, advocating for flexible tuition payment plans and financial guidance—particularly for international students—and creating academic study groups that promote collaboration, not competition.
But beyond policy and projects, I want to make sure you feel part of a strong, welcoming community. Whether it's through societies, campaigns, or simply stopping for a chat—I’m here for you.
Your voice matters. Your experience matters. And together, we can shape a more supportive, inclusive, and inspiring university life.
Let’s grow together. Let’s make this year unforgettable.
