The Solent University Maritime Society is a student run organisation which supports students studying maritime courses through extracurricular experiences and conferences, networking opportunities with industry professionals and alumni and social events.

Introduction

The Solent University Maritime Society was founded in 2011; and has an impressive history of providing opportunities and introducing likeminded individuals to our members to help them forge their careers and succeed within the maritime world.

The society aims to not only introduce current Solent University students to each other but also to staff, alumni, and other maritime professionals. We collaborate with other maritime training institutions to offer our members an even broader range of activities, opportunities, and professional contacts.

The society holds both formal and informal events where members can interact to build professional connections and learn together. Our events aim to support students in their academic studies, as well as exposing them to a broad range of views on topical issues within the maritime sector.
