Sat Sri Akal + Assalamualaikum / Welcome to our vibrant community - The Desi Society! People from all backgrounds and cultures are encouraged to join. Together we will connect, learn, and grow.

This society will aim to create a welcoming space for students, during your time at university. These aims include the following:

  • Creating a diverse enviroment for students to collaborate in
  • Creating a strong network for relationship building amongst us
  • Helping others who are away from home, to feel comfortable and safe
  • Helping those with language difficulties to understand their courses at solent
  • To foster and preserve our cultures by organsising events. 
  • Build knowledge around eachothers cultures
  • Form memories!
  • Create Unity 

 

This society will host many fun events!! A few of these events will include - movie nights, bhangra nights, bingo nights and other cultural events that you can find on our instagram page @SolentDesiSociety
