Solent Students' Union is pleased to announce our 2025/26 Sabbatical Officers, Mohammad Galib - Union President, Student Voice and Sanidhya Shetty - Union President, Communities and Wellbeing.
Our newest Sabbatical Officers have taken up their posts and completed a 3-week induction. Learning the ins and outs of the Solent Students' Union and Southampton Solent University. In this time, they have met with key figures from the university, presented the Student Led Teaching Awards, and even completed their very own "Sabbenger Hunt", taking them to some of the most iconic Southampton Landmarks.
Mohammad and Sanidhya will be working closely with the SU and the university this year to not only enhance the student experience but to make sure the student voice is heard loud and clear across all aspects of the university.
They will be working alongside our Volunteer Officers, Melissa Waters - Womens' Volunteer Officer, Ayush Hinduja - International Volunteer Officer, Aaliyah Izaac - Disabilities Volunteer Officer, and Erik Hogg - Student Council Chair, each of whom is responsible for representing the rights of the students within their specific student groups.
We can't wait to start making some real change with our 2025/26 Sabbatical and Volunteer Officers. Be sure to check in with our news page and socials regularly to keep up-to-date with their campaigns and day-to-day goings-on!
