What is a Referenda?

Referenda 2017

A referenda enables students to make change in the way the university and Students Union is run, by voting in response to particular referenda questions. The votes are then counted up and actions are put in place, depending on the resulting outcome. This is a simple and very easy way to make change to Solent and the Students’ Union, and ensures that we abide by our main objective of being student run and student led.

Referenda 2017:

·        Solent Students' Union should continue to affiliate to the National Union of Students at a cost of £20,843.40

·         Should Solent University automatically register new students to vote?

·         Should Solent University have gender neutral toilets on campus?
