Sabbatical Officers
Head of Student Education
Responsible for being the voice of every student at Solent University on educational matters. They look after the academic representation system, support all Academic Reps (e.g. Course Reps) and work closely with the academic advice services within Solent University.

Head of Student Engagement
Responsible for being the voice of every student at Solent University on all extra curriculum activities and employability matters. They work closely with and support clubs, societies and student media at Solent University, and oversee volunteering and community outreach opportunities offered by the Students’ Union.
Head of Student Voice
Responsible for ensuring every student has a voice at Solent University. They look after representation and democracy (e.g. Student Council, Student Reps, etc.) within the Students’ Union and provide political leadership to the organisation.

Head of Student Wellbeing
Responsible for being the voice of every student at Solent University on all welfare matters and act as a liaison between students and the local community. The represent students on all issues relating to student support, health, safety and wellbeing.

Student Officers
Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Students' Officer
The BME Students' Officer acts as the primary student representative of black and minority ethnic (BME) students at Solent within the university, Students’ Union and wider community. They ensure that the voices of BME students are heard on the issues they face and that their voices are taken into account in decision making at Solent University.
Disabilities Students' Officer
The Disabilities Students' Officer acts as the primary representative of all students at Solent University who identify as disabled (e.g. physical, mental, hidden or learning disability) within the university, Students’ Union and wider community. They ensure that the voices of disabled students are heard on the issues they face and that their voices are taken into account in decision making at Solent University.
Environmental Students' Officer
The Environmental Students’ Officer acts as the primary representative of all students at Solent University on environmental issues within the university, Students’ Union and wider community. They ensure that the voices of all students are heard and that the right support is available.
Events Students' Officer
The Events Students’ Officer acts as the primary representative of all students at Solent University on all events run by the Students’ Union for students (e.g. Freshers Week, Grad Ball and SU Presents). They ensure that the voices of all students are heard and taken into consideration when running student events at Solent.
International Students' Officer (Non EU)
The International Students' Officer (Non EU) acts as the primary representative of all students at Solent University who are from outside the European Union (EU) within the university, Students’ Union and wider community. They ensure that the voices of international students are heard on the issues they face and that their voices are taken into account in decision making at Solent University.
Mature Students' Officer
The Mature Students’ Officer acts as the primary representative of all mature students (over the age of 21 when they start their course) at Solent University within the university, Students’ Union and wider community. They ensure that the voices of all mature students are heard on the issues they face and that their voices are taken into account in decision making at Solent University.
Mental Health Campaigns Students' Officer
The Mental Health Students’ Officer acts as the primary representative of all students at Solent University on mental health issues (e.g. Student Hub, exam stress, etc.) within the university, Students’ Union and wider community. They ensure that the voices of all students are heard and that the right support is available.

Part-Time Students' Officer
The Part Time Students’ Officer acts as the primary representative of all students at Solent University enrolled on a part time course within the university, Students’ Union and wider community. They ensure that the voices of all part time students are heard on the issues they face and that their voices are taken into account in decision making at Solent University.
Undergraduate Students' Officer
The Undergraduate Students’ Officer acts as the primary representative of all students at Solent University enrolled on an undergraduate course within the university, Students’ Union and wider community. They ensure that the voices of all undergraduate students are heard on the issues they face and that their voices are taken into account in decision making at Solent University.
Warsash Maritime Academy (WMA) Liaison Officer
The Warsash Liaison Officer acts as the primary representative of all cadets enrolled on a Warsash Maritime Academy course within the university, Students’ Union and wider community. They ensure that the voices of all cadets are heard on the issues they face and that their voices are taken into account in decision making at Solent University.
Widening Class Participation Students' Officer
The Widening Class Participation Students’ Officer acts as the primary representative for all students on social class issues (e.g. class discrimination, hardship funding, attainment gap, etc.) issues within the university, Students’ Union and wider community. They ensure that the voices of all students are heard and that the right support is available.
