Hello,

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Mollie Tuck, your Head of Student Education, as she moves on to a new career. As of the 2nd January 2020, Mollie has stepped down from her position and is no longer a Sabbatical Officer of Solent Students' Union.

From re-vamping the Course Representative system to representing Solent Students at all levels of University meetings, Mollie has made her mark on the Solent Community and will be greatly missed.

Mollie's Final Student Council Report

Mollie thanks everyone who has been involved in her work over the past year and a half. Much of her work has been behind the scenes within the University, so it is often hard to celebrate these achievements with the students.

Mollie is proud to have identified a course which was not being implemented effectively and has subsequently had the University agree to shut this course down. She is very proud of how talks went with the University regarding this, ensuring that they enhance the student experience.

Over the last year and a half, she has had further achievements including kitchen facilities for Warsash Cadets, fighting for the rights of Apprenticeship Students and ensured the University track their course numbers and the number of Course Representatives that should be available; the Union now has nearly 600 Course Representatives. As well as this, the Union is involved with reports on the results of the National Student Survey at Solent University.
We will miss you very much Mollie and we wish you all the best in your future ventures.

Note: The position of Head of Student Education is now vacant and will not be filled until the completion of the 2020 Sabbatical Officer Elections. For any matter that you would have previously contacted Mollie for, please direct your inquiries to Grace Davis (Head of Student Voice - SU.President@Solent.ac.uk)
