Vehicle
Here at Solent Students' Union, we have one vehicle that can be hired to assist students on their society days out, with assignments or other.
Please allow 14 days for your booking application to be reviewed. The vehicle is not for personal use and can not be shared with anyone outside of Solent University.
Purchasing miles does not constitute as a booking for the SU vehicle.
The vehicle will be available to use for all students, however priority will be given to those who require them for educational purposes. The vehicle will be sanitised and cleaned before any booking takes place.
The Union has one vehicle that you can use!
Who can book a vehicle?
Any member of an affiliated society, sports club or students at Solent University may use the Students’ Union's vehicle.
The vehicle may only be driven by approved drivers who are members of the Students' Union, over the age of 21 and have held a UK Driving Licence for over 2 years.
The vehicle has a maximum capacity of 9 people.
How much does the vehicle cost?
The usage cost of using the vehicles is 50p per mile, with an additional cost from £10 per day to hire the vehicle (different rates apply to course organised events). The driver is responsible for any charges/fines whilst hiring the vehicle including but not limited to; parking fees, speeding fines, toll roads, congestion charge.

Payment will be taken upon key collection and it is required in advance. Any additional miles will be paid for on return of the keys.
Keys may only be collected at an agreed time on working days, Monday to Friday, between 10am - 4pm.
