About Us

The Solent Computing Society exists to create a setting where like-minded computing enthusiasts can interact and socialise.

The Solent Computing Society hosts coding tutorials and socials to encourage collaboration and teamwork when approaching projects. Our core aim is to make the student experience more enjoyable for those with even the slightest interest as well as every member ending the year with an online portfolio.

So what do we do as a society?
We meet most Fridays between 17:00 and 20:00 to run coding tutorials, which are usually followed by socialising at the pub.
We run industry talks to allow our members to ask questions and get an idea of what specific job they will be looking for after their degree.

Interested in meeting us? The specifics on location and timing are posted regularly to the society Instagram account!

Not sure if you want to join us in the room? Come join us for drinks after.
