Three Peaks Challenge

Three Peaks Challenge

Join our Three Peaks team, run by Choose A Challenge and Solent Students' Union, where a group of amazing Solent students fundraise for World Wide Fund (WWF) throughout the year and then challenge themselves physically by hiking the Three Peaks in the summer 2024.

Have a read of the below information, and if you're interested in taking part, click here to register your interest!

The challenge

You arrive in Glasgow on the 25th of July 2024 and will be taken to Fort William where you will meet the rest of the teams.

In the early hours of the 26th of June 2024, you will start your challenge, which will look something along the lines of:

  • Climb to Ben Nevis

  • Long drive to Scafell Pike, where you will have a night climb

  • Bus to Snowdon - this is where you will rest and sleep

  • Breakfast

  • Climb Snowdon.

You have 30 hours to complete this historic challenge.

Before the challenge, you will be fundraising for WWF (who will be paying the remainder of the costs for you to do the hike), while you support their amazing cause.

Each climber needs to raise £690 each. You will fundraise individually, but work as a team, throughout the year through events. See below for any upcoming fundraising events our team has on!

Who is WWF?

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) works with nearly 100 different countries on projects to protect and conserve the wildlife and climate of the earth. WWF is the worlds largest conservation organisations with over 5 million supporters and over $1 billion invested in conservation initiative since 1995.

Your fundraising efforts and money would go towards some of the amazing projects, including the Two Times Tiger project and their Seagrass restoration project.

WWF has provided a dedicated staff member to help your team fundraise and provide helpful advice and resources throughout the year through your challenge leader.
