Enrolment

You must complete your enrolment process at Solent University once you are here. After completing enrolment, you will receive your student ID card that will give you access to class rooms available on campus. Taking an active part in the entire welcome, induction, and orientation programme is essential in making sure that your studies at Solent University are successful.

Understanding your role as a student

SOL

Solent Online Learning (SOL) is a virtual learning environment for Solent University students. SOL is where you can access content and resources for your course. SOL is also a forum for interaction with both lecturers and peers.

To access SOL, you will need your provided username and password upon registering as a student at Solent University.

Timetable

Additionally, there is a separate web page to access your timetable. Your timetable will let you know whether your lecture is online or in-person.

Registering your attendance

As international students, it is vital that you register your attendance in each lecture. Solent University is required to report to the Home Office about each international students’ attendance levels. If you recognise your attendance has not been recorded, contact your lecturer immediately and ask them to register you as present.

Obviously, unavoidable situations happen and you may have to miss your lecture. You will have to let your lecturer know that you will not be able to attend to record your attendance.
