Solent Students’ Union are delighted to announce the appointment of Lorna Reavley, as the new Chief Executive. For more information, please click above.

Lorna will be joining us from Portsmouth Students’ Union where she was recently interim Chief Executive; her substantive post is Representation and Volunteering Manager. She will bring with her a wealth of experience that will help to take the Students’ Union forward. Including; representation, democracy and governance which are key areas for development for Solent SU. In her time at Portsmouth she has dramatically increased student engagement in officer elections, increasing the number of votes from circa 4,000 to circa 8,000 in just two years.

She also led Portsmouth Students’ Union’s successful Investors in Volunteers accreditation, making them the first University Students’ Union on the South Coast to obtain IIV. Solent Students’ Union has just commenced the IIV process and therefore Lorna’s experience will enable her to advise and guide the process very effectively.

We are looking forward to Lorna becoming a part of the team and are expecting her to be with us by October at the latest.
