Welcome is the name given to the first 2 weeks of the September semester at Solent University.
During this time, the Students' Union and University will host a wide range of events to help you get settled at University if you're a first year, or to welcome our returners back after the Summer. You can find the full schedule of welcome events from your Students Union here and check the Portal for University events. Welcome officially starts on Monday 20th September but we’ll be kicking off the festivities a day early on Sunday th 19th with our Neon 90s Moving In Party.

Our full event schedule is coming soon. Our events schedule is in the process of being finalised so that you have the best possible experience and more information will be released throughout August.

All on campus events are free of charge to Solent students, some may have a limited capacity and you will need to book into the event via the Eventbrite page we link to. For our evening events you will need to buy a ticket or a wristband from our website or our official Fatsoma account. Wristbands and t-shirts need to be collected from the Students’ Union.

Wristband and t-shirt collection is from the Students' Union office on East Park Terrace Campus from the 17th of September, everyone who’s purchased a Wristband or Block Party ticket will be emailed with details nearer the time

You can find our office in the JM building, through the sliding doors next to the library or through the glass doors in the East Park Deli.

All events where Alcohol is available will require a valid form of Photo ID. You must bring either a Passport, Drivers License or ID Card that has the Pass Hologram located on it. Photocopies or Pictures will not be accepted.

You can contact us via e-mail at student.union@solent.ac.uk and we can process your refund. The request for a refund must be made before Friday 10th September 2021.

If the government roadmap is pushed back or lockdown re-imposed meaning that events can’t go ahead then please rest assured that full refunds will be given to everyone who has purchased an official wristband or tickets.
