Vice President Wellbeing

Jignesh Kiree is responsible for representing student membership on all matters relating to student support, health, safety, wellbeing and representing students in the community.

What is your name?

My name is Jignesh Kiree!

Where is home to you?

I am from India.

What did you study at Solent?

Before coming to Solent University, I completed my Bachelor of Commerce degree in 2011. I wanted to learn more about my leadership qualities, so I enrolled in the Global MBA course here at Solent.

Why did you apply to be a Sabbatical Officer?

As a passionate advocate for mental health and wellbeing, I have been actively helping individuals through different online platforms, by providing them with the resources and support related to depressison, stress, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts.* I believe that these experiences and my dedication will make me me an effective VP Wellbeing.

*I am not a trained mental health professional. Any student seeking mental health advice should contact the therapy and mental health team, their GP, or NHS 111.

What does being a part of Solent Students' Union mean to you?

Being part of Solent Students' Union feels like being a part of something big, where I will be making a good impact on student life as well as the overall experience at Solent University.
