Nominations are open for the Solent Students’ Union Sabbatical Officers!

The role of Sabbatical Officers is to represent Solent students and help enhance the student experience. Sabb Officers work from the Students' Union and are completely independent of the University. This means they can campaign on your behalf to help improve Solent for students, on issues big or small.

Sabb Officers also represent students at a local and national level, working with and challenging, local authorities and MP's.

Being a Sabbatical Officer is a great way to make real changes for students at their university. Elected on their manifesto and accountable to the student body, Sabb Officers hold the key to a better university. The paid positions are as follows:

SU President

The leader of the pack! As SU President you'd be responsible for representing student membership on lots of issues affecting them throughout the university and be a real spokesperson for the SU.

Vice President Education

In this role, you would be responsible for representing the student membership on all educational matters and be a Trustee of the Students’ Union.

Vice President Welfare & Community

The VP for Welfare and Community is responsible for representing student membership on all matters relating to student support, health, safety and wellbeing. You'd be representing students in the community and be a Trustee of the Students’ Union.

Vice President Employability and Engagement

The VP Employability and Engagement is responsible for representing student membership on all matters relating to employability and the development of opportunities to enhance students’ time at University and be a Trustee of the Students’ Union.

Nominations close on 25th February 2018, ready for elections to open on 12th March 2018.
