Salary Range: Grade 5.1: £25,374
Hours: Full Time: 35 hours a week
Solent Students’ Union are in an exciting period of transformation with a new Vision and Strategic Plan launching in August 2019. We have a great opportunity for an inspirational manager to join our team to lead our newly created Representation, Advice & Democracy department.
This senior management role has strategic responsibility for leading on one of our key priorities (Representation) to achieve our new vision: Developing confident students at the heart of the Union and University.
Student voice is at the heart of this department and you will play a key role in supporting all our elected officers to represent effectively and deliver change, as well as developing and driving engagement in our democratic processes. You will also lead the Union’s Advice Service, ensuring a high quality, impartial service is delivered for all students.
The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills and the ability to influence a diverse range of people; a strong customer or membership focus and track record of driving engagement across a diverse range of services. Innovative thinking, a commitment to quality and team work are important, as is a commitment to our organisational values.
