Criminology Society

About Us

Hello! Welcome to the Criminology Society at Solent.

Do you wish to explore your morbid curiosity surrounding the mysteries and happenings of true crime? Or maybe you want to learn about how our criminal justice system functions?

From getting to grips with the process a detective has to follow when they step foot into a crime scene, to dissecting and understanding the process of our criminal justice system, this society has you covered! As well as traversing through the world of criminology, you will also get to explore aspects of psychology, as we delve into the minds of criminals and attempt to tap into their twisted psyches.

More so, we will also be looking at elements of law and it’s terminology, for all those interested in crime-centred technicalities and procedure! In addition to all of the above, you will get a chance to attend exciting and stimulating events such as: escape rooms, debate nights, murder mysteries and talks from guest speakers.

This society is open to all students who wish to immerse themselves into a world of criminology, psychology and law!
