It's time to meet new people and put your knowledge to the test in our Traffic Light Quiz!

Grab a drink and a colour that signifies your friend status (Green - Let's be friends, Orange - I'm here with friends, join our crew, and Red - I'm kinda shy, but please say hi!)

Once you've put together your dream team of epic quizzers, you'll have to face our general knowledge quiz.

Join us for a casual walk over to IKEA Southampton with your Students’ Union reps and get all your accommodation essentials sorted in one go. We’ll be meeting at the Kimber Halls of Residence reception area before heading over together, and anyone who wants to can walk back with us afterwards for a bit of a Freshers catch-up is welcome to do so.

Every attendee gets a free soft drink and snack token for the IKEA Bistro at the end of the trip.

We’re taking over the Spark Atrium and turning it into the most EPIC Students’ Union event of the year. Welcome to SU Party in the Spark.

Expect huge house party energy, live entertainment, giveaways, music, games and loads of opportunities to make unforgettable Freshers memories.

Dress code? The most chaotic, iconic and unforgettable house party you’ve ever been to - anything goes. Glam, overdressed, underdressed, fancy dress, themed outfits - we want to see it all. We’ll be crowning best dressed on the night and yes, we will be extremely biased.

Join us in The Dock for an evening of painting, drinks and good music. We'll provide everything you could possibly need, paints, canvases, brushes and a drink on us. There will be a choice of a glass of prosecco or a soft drink, with snacks provided too!

No experience needed, just come as you are, grab a drink and paint the night away.

And just like that, it's our final SU in the Spark for this academic year!

This session focuses on Stress Awareness Month, with a chance to explore support, resources, and simple ways to look after your wellbeing during exams and assessments.

We’ll also be highlighting Society Elections, giving you the opportunity to find out how to get involved, stand for roles, and shape student-led activity for the year ahead.

Alongside this, we’re collecting well-loved items from students moving out, which will be passed on to new students arriving in the next academic year - helping reduce waste and support a smoother transition into university life.

The Students’ Union team will be in the Spark Building 2/03/27, creating a welcoming space where students can drop in for a friendly chat, grab a hot drink, get involved in creative crafts, browse SU merchandise, purchase Exchange memberships, or find out more about how to get involved with student life.

We’ll also have a donation point where you can contribute items to help support fellow students across the university community.

We’re back in the Spark Atrium for another drop-in session, with a focus on LGBTQIA+ History Month.

Find out more about how the SU is supporting and celebrating LGBTQIA+ communities, explore a range of SU and external volunteering opportunities, and learn how you can get involved on campus and beyond.

We’ll also be encouraging students to take part in the SU Elections and make their voices heard.
