Union President
Responsible for ensuring every student has a voice at Solent University. They look after representation and democracy (e.g. Student Council, Student Reps, etc.) within the Students’ Union and provide political leadership to the organisation.
The Union President. is the Chair of Trustee Board and a Director of the Students’ Union. They also sit on the Board of Governors of Solent University.
They are a full time member of staff within the Students’ Union as a student representative and are paid £22,145. In order to fulfil the role they take either a year out of their studies or spend an extra year at Solent University after graduation.
The term of office for Sabbatical Officers is a 12-month period, from June. exact date TBC.

Vice President Education
Responsible for being the voice of every student at Solent University on educational matters. They look after the academic representation system, support all Academic Reps (e.g. Course Reps) and work closely with the academic advice services within Solent University.
The Vice President Education is also Trustee and Director of the Students’ Union.
They are a full time member of staff within the Students’ Union as a student representative and are paid £22,145. In order to fulfil the role they take either a year out of their studies or spend an extra year at Solent University after graduation.

Vice President Engagement
Responsible for being the voice of every student at Solent University on all extra curriculum activities and employability matters. They work closely with and support clubs, societies and student media at Solent University, and oversee volunteering and community outreach opportunities offered by the Students’ Union.
The Vice President Engagement is also Trustee, Director of the Students’ Union and Co-Director of Sonar Media for all Sonar Media output.
They are a full time member of staff within the Students’ Union as a student representative and are paid £21,500. In order to fulfil the role they take either a year out of their studies or spend an extra year at Solent University after graduation.

Vice President Communities and Wellbeing
Responsible for being the voice of every student at Solent University on all welfare matters and act as a liaison between students and the local community. The represent students on all issues relating to student support, health, safety and wellbeing.
