Main Manifesto
Hi my name is Shona, I am a 3rd year psychology (Education) student. I am a very mature student being nearly 50, I have 3 sons and attended college for a year prior to starting my degree.
I know what it is like to struggle with university and family life, I have health issues myself and have found great support through out my time at Solent.
If elected I would put forward the following ideas for consideration.
- Make using Extenuating circumstances easier to understand with regards to what is acceptable grounds and how often they can apply.
- Cheaper cups of tea/coffee on certain days and times.
- Better mental health provision and where they can be accessed.
- Make changing ID Cards simpler.
- Make Safe Solent information more visual.
- Extend available routes for Safe Solent, maybe with a small charge.
What I would you add?
- Free Food and Drinks on certain days and times
- Rewards and incentives for community Involvement, like a hoodie, free coffee, printing credit,
I feel that my age and experience will be an asset to the position of Head of student Wellbeing. As I can draw from this in aiding others.
My main reasons for applying for this position is so that I can offer others the same help and support that I have received so they too can achieve their goals. Please vote for me!!
