Welcome Week: That's all folks!
Welcome Week is officially over, and what a time we all had! With the aid of it's student members Your Union many of it's all-time records in terms of attendance and success, and we're working hard for you to keep that success going!
The Welcome BBQ - new for 2008 - saw our green army of Union Angels help move-in our new students at student residences. After that it was straight to the Union for a delicious BBQ and drinks, a housewarming present from us.
The Freshers Fair was a hit all-round, after all, who can resist a good freebie?! The Big Night Out was back again by popular demand, and our new hit nights flirt! and The Saturday Session were rammed!
The Freshers Ball smashed all previous attendance records with over 3000 tickets sold, and demand for the AAA Pass was unprecedented!
Solent Students' Union would like to thank all students who attended Your Union's events over Welcome Week, it was brilliant to see our months of hard work well worth it!
On that note we'd also like to thank the hundreds of people who worked tirelessly to make this happen, our Angels, Union and University staff. As every year this was a huge operation, but 2008 saw us break records we previously thought unbreakable!
