The Duke of Edinburgh Award is an internationally recognised award scheme designed to accredit individuals who go the extra mile. Solent SU is able to offer any of their students under the age of 25 the opportunity to complete their Gold, Silver or Bronze award, helping you to expand and improve on areas such as volunteering, physical, skills, residential and expedition. These areas are all aimed at improving your social and communicative skills as well as opening your horizons to new experiences, therefore making you a more rounded person.
In today's society, it has become more common for employers to see further education on an individual's CV. As we all need to work that bit harder to stand out, why not give your CV the royal seal of approval with the Duke of Edinburgh Award? Help us get to 60 and gain a free award!
For further information about the award, please contact your Volunteer Coordinator and Duke of Edinburgh Manager, April Brown at april.brown@solent.ac.uk.
