VOTING for the 2015 Sabbatical Officer Election is about to begin, and your probably wondering - What’s the big deal? Who should I vote for and why?
Like any election we vote in, whatever the outcome is will directly affect you. Yoru Students’ Union represent you in many ways, from providing personal and academic support to leading campaigns which tackle issues affecting your student experience. Whoever is elected leads the political direction of the Union and represents you, the student body, to both the University and the local community.
Who you should vote for is entirely up to you, but why should you vote for them? Your Candidates have that covered. Check out all the candidates manifestos here: www.solentsu.co.uk/vote
Want to find out more about what you candidates can offer you? Do you have any questions you want to ask? Your Students’ Union will be running 2 Question times tonight and tomorrow:
Question Time is an opportunity for you as voting members to quiz and interrogate your candidates as they take to the stage to convince you to vote for them. Live tweeting will be happening throughout, so if you have anything you want to say but can’t make it, you can tweet them with the hashtag #VoteSolent. Question Time at East Park Terrace will be filmed live by Sonar TV.
Voting takes place from 9am Monday 2nd March through to Friday 6th March. The results will be revealed in the SU that Friday evening.
