University is not only about studying for your degree. We've got many activities you can get involved with to make your time at Solent even better.
And here are some suggestions (non-exhaustive list!). We would advise you to:
>>> Join a society <<<
With 54+ societies available, we are pretty sure you can find the one you're looking for! Whether you want to learn a new skill, carry on with a hobby or want to make a load of new friends, then societies are for you.
>>> Volunteer a bit of your time <<<
It is not always time-consuming and is a fantastic way for you to make difference, make new friends and to do something different from your studies. If you like animals, check out our volunteering opportunity at the Down To Earth Farm. If you feel like a leader and want to make the big decisions, then think about becoming one of our Student Trustees.
Find out more about our volunteering opportunities here.
>>> Get the extra help you need to set up your own business <<<
You feel like you have THE business idea of the year? Grab the opportunity to get funded by SU with our Trial Adapt Launch project that offers FREE MONEY to any student with nifty business idea.
Find out more here.
For more info on societies, volunteering, funding, contact Hannah Mullarky, your VP Engagement on suengagement@solent.ac.uk, and come along to our Freshers' Fayre on Thursday 25 September (more info to come soon!).
