The results for this year’s National Student Survey (NSS) have been released, and we have recorded a 9% increase on last year’s satisfaction rating to 63%.

Our dramatic increase from 54% to 63% comes after two years of development to establish the Students' Union at the centre of an excellent student experience.

The results also come at the launch of our new three year strategic plan  which aims to continue to enhance your experience at Solent University.

Current SU President, Naomi Oiku said, “We are extremely happy with this year’s results. We work incredibly hard to build a strong union that is relevant and that students can rely on and trust.

I’m happy to see our hard work reflected in this result and we will continue to improve our services alongside supporting and representing our members”

We will continue working to improve satisfaction and ensure an excellent experience for all our member studying at Solent University.

About the NSS

All final year students at participating Universities are asked to fill in the survey, though it is still voluntary to complete it. There are 23 questions in the survey, which cover teaching, Assessment and Feedback, Academic Support, Organisation and Management, Learning Resources, Personal development, Overall Satisfaction and finally a question on the Students’ Union.
