For information or advice regarding personal issues, housing, money & confidential advice, email the Students' Union Adviser, Joan Martin. The Student Adviser is a permanent member of Solent Students' Union staff and an experienced advice worker, supporting the elected officers in this important area of work. Speak with her in confidence about any issue that concerns you.

Police drop in
In the Students' Union Advice Centre we have a Police drop-in service run from 3-4pm on a Monday Afternoon. So pop into The Advice Centre and talk confidentially to police officers if you have any worries or concerns while you are here at Solent University.

Mental Health Service
This service is provided by a qualified Mental Health Practitioner in the form of a weekly surgery in the Students' Union building. He can provide a range of mental health information, including self-help material and may offer time-limited individual therapy sessions.
